phpBB Forums

All SECOgaming™ templates come with phpBB 2.0 forums installed and configured. This provides teams with a powerful forum for boosting community interest WITHOUT raising the price of the template! phpBB forums are fully customizable and *many additional add-ons are available free for download.

Local Installer

Installing a template by SECOgaming™ is as easy as 1-2-3. When you purchase a template, you will be able to download the windows executable installer (.exe file). This installer will ask you for your ftp information to your web server. It will then transfer and set the proper permissions of every file for your website. No knowledge of web sites, web servers or ftp-ing is needed except your basic FTP information.

Remote Installer

Once you have used your local installer to transfer and set the permissions of your template to your web space, you will have to run the remote installer to configure your template. The remote installer will ask you for your database information, admin account information, and forum information. Once you enter all of the information into this easy to use web based installer, it will automatically configure your web site, forums, and database to connect with each other.

Multi-level Access

The admin portal, or Content Management System, for your template is built to allow many users to access it and restrict access to certain features for higher-level users. The "Super-Admin" account (the account created when the template is installed) is the highest level user. The next level is staff users, followed by team admin and team members. Each access level can access features that levels below them can not.

Every page of your web site that requires file uploading / deleting, HTML or CSS styles, content management or user management is controlled in the CMS so that updating your site is possible without having any knowledge of HTML, PHP, CSS, MySQL or any other web-based language

When running a multi-user web site, security is paramount. All passwords are encrypted in the database and password maintenance is done by the user. All restricted features are not accessible or viewable by any user without the proper access. All files that connect to a database are also encrypted to prevent hackers from stealing information from your databases.
